鼠兔科 是兔形目下的一个科，有两个属，分别是意大利鼠兔属（Prolagus）和鼠兔属（Ochotona），然而也有部分书籍将意大利鼠兔属列为兔形目下的一个科。意大利鼠兔属下仅有意大利鼠兔一种，而意大利鼠兔已灭绝。鼠兔属下则有多达30种，统称为鼠兔，又名鳴兔、鸣声鼠、石兔、坤豚鼠，古称鼵、鼵鼠。20世纪初，中国称其为兔鼠，隶属于“兔鼠科”，是因其划归啮齿目，现已改称为鼠兔。
